The Long Island award is a bit of an enigma to the general membership. It was originated by the Long Island Regional meet but is presented atthe National Level.  The award recognizes a member who has greatly contributed to the growth of our hobby.  Name recognition goes on a travelling trophy.  This years recipient was Jeff Minard who was instrumental in getting ALPCA into the information age with a website  www.alpca.org
